Mamy Blue was originally written with French lyrics in 1970 by songwriter Hubert Giraud. In 1971, the song became an international hit for the Spanish group Pop-Tops. The English version of Mamy Blue has also been recorded by Julio Iglesias, Roger Whittaker, Demis Roussos and many others.
This arrangement is written in a light Latin groove. Take the opportunity to feature the drums and percussion section, and even to add more percussion players to the group. Parts for drum set, shaker/tambourine, congas and bells/xylophone are included.
With the smooth melody lines over a cool Latin groove, this arrangement will surely please both musicians and audience.
