Composed by Luis Cardoso. Contemporary. Score and parts. 228 pages. Luis Cardoso #4632793. Published by Luis Cardoso (A0.934343).

The concerto is in three movements, following the usual quick-slow-quick pattern. The first movement is very energetic, with a predominantly rhythmic structure. The second movement has a melodious song that will be developed exploiting the sound resources of the wind band, with the constant intervention of the soloists. The third movement represents a struggle between the two soloists, assisted by the band and recovery the constant rhythmic tension.
This work was created as a result of a challenge from the tuba player Sérgio Carolino, being very demanding for the soloists. Was dedicated toSérgio Carolino and Mário Marques, who were soloists at the premiere whit the Banda Sinfónica Portuguesa, conducted by the composer in
July/2009.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
