Step by Step was commissioned by the Sony Concert Band to celebrate their 60th anniversary in 2018. Step by Step is an up-tempo concert march. The title was chosen as it has obvious associations with marching but also as a salute to the constant improvement and development that makes the products of Sony Corporation famous around the world.

Step by Step is in opdracht geschreven ter gelegenheid van het zestigjarig bestaan van de Sony Concert Band in 2018. Step by Step is een uptempo concertmars. De titel is gekozen vanwege de associatie met de mars of het marcheren, maar ook als een verwijzing naar de continue verbetering en ontwikkeling die de producten van de Sony Corporation over de hele wereld bekendheid hebben opgeleverd.

Step by Step wurde im Jahr 2018 von der Sony Concert Band in Auftrag gegeben, um ihr 60-jahriges Bestehen zu feiern. Step by Step ist ein Up-Tempo-Konzertmarsch. Der Titel wurde gewahlt, da er einen deutlichen Bezug zum Marsch herstellt, aber er kann auch als eine Verneigung vor der kontinuierlichen Verbesserung und Entwicklung der Produkte, die die Sony Corporation auf der ganzen Welt beruhmt machen, verstanden werden.

Step by Step est une commande du Sony Concert Band pour marquer son 60e anniversaire, en 2018. Cette piece est une marche de concert au rythme enleve. Son titre reflete une association evidente avec la marche, mais rend aussi hommage aux developpements et progres constants qui assurent la renommee mondiale des produits de Sony Corporation.
