Published by Flavio Regis Cunha (S0.545908).This arrangement of "Carol of the Bells" of the composer Mikola Leontovich was originally composed for the piano and voice project "From therere to Here" (De lá prá cá). In this version for tenor saxophone and piano, both instruments interact with each other in a jazzy language, but with an oriental flavor, using the harmonic minor scale. The piano conducts rhythmically and, in some passages, seeks to imitate the sound of the Christmas bells.
Flavio Regis Cunha is a pianist, conductor and composer from São Paulo - Brasil. He is currently finishing his doctorate at Mackenzie Presbyterian University where he works as conductor of the Mackenzie University Orchestra and resident composer.
