Ranges for each instrument are as follows: FLUTE (Part 1) ~ A4 to A5; VIOLIN (Part 2) ~ E4 to F#5. For violin players, all notes on both parts are playable in the first position making this piece an excellent choice for early-intermediate string players.
The verse begins with the two parts playing solo for one phrase each, then FLUTE (part 1) plays the melody for the remainder of the song while the VIOLIN (part 2) adds an elegant harmony. The audio sample begins at the pickup to measure 15 when the two parts first start playing together as a duet.
