Composed around 2008, it marks a period in the composers life when he became interested in mathematics thereby discovering a new method of composition.
Apart from the usual delicate ritardando's played at phrase endings the pace of the piece should be more or less maintained and played 'sostenuto' until the coda. Consequently, the part for left-hand is particularly tricky since it involves the performer to play with a stretched left-hand playing notes in octaves which often jump over several octaves with little time to spare before the hand must return to the centre of the keyboard. It is therefore, a good exercise for the left-hand as well as an enjoyable piece to play.
