The Flemish percussionist Patrick De Smet became famous with Cirkus Rens, when he gave a unique performance of ’Night of the Proms’ blindfolded! Another virtuoso song performed by him is this arrangement of the world famous Czárdás by Vittorio Monti. Can your percussionist perhaps play this blindfolded?

De Vlaamse percussionist Patrick De Smet werd bekend met Cirkus Rens, wat hij als geen ander speelt, en dit geblinddoekt! Wij namen met hem een ander virtuoos werk op, namelijk de wereldberoemde Czárdás van Monti, die hem ophet lijf is geschreven. Kan uw percussionist dit misschien geblinddoekt spelen?

Wer kennt nicht den berühmten Czardas von Vittorio Monti? In dieser Bearbeitung für Xylophon und Blasorchester darf Ihr Schlagzeuger sein Können unter Beweis stellen. In unserer Aufnahme hören Sie den flämischen Percussionisten Patrick De Smet, der durch seine Interpretation des Stückes Circus Renz bei der "Night of the Proms", die er mit verbundenen Augen (!) spielte, berühmt wurde.

Tout le monde connaît la célèbre Czárdás de Vittorio Monti dans sa version pour violon et piano. Désormais, il existe une version pour xylophone et Orchestre d’Harmonie. L’enregistrement de la partie soliste a été réalisé par le percussionniste flamand Patrick De Smet, devenu célèbre pour son interprétation (les yeux bandés !) de l’œuvre Circus Renz au festival « Night of the Proms ».

Tutti conoscono la celebre Czardas di Vittorio Monti nella versione per violino e pianoforte. Ne esiste ora anche una versione per xilofono e orchestra di fiati. L’incisione sul CD demo è stata realizzata dal percussionista fiammingo Patrick De Smet, celebre per la sua interpretazione (ad occhi bendati) dell’opera Circus Renz al festival “Night of the Proms”.
