Echoes of San Marco is the winner of the 30th Edition of the International Composition Competition in Corciano - Italy. It is based on one of Giovanni Gabrieli's canzones for two four-part brass choirs, which Johan de Meij cleverly echoes throughout the entire ensemble. Ideal for a concert in a church, or a hall with rich acoustics!

Met Echoes of San Marco heeft de componist de dertigste editie van de Internationale Compositiewedstrijd te Corciano in Italie gewonnen. Het werk is gebaseerd op een van Giovanni Gabrieli's canzones voor twee koperkwartetten, die Johan de Meij op vakbekwame wijze door het hele ensemble laat doorklinken. Ideaal voor een concert in een kerk of een zaal met een rijke akoestiek!

Dieses Stuck wurde beim "30. Internationalen Kompositionswettbewerb" in Corciano (Italien) ausgezeichnet. Es basiert auf einer Kanzone von Giovanni Gabrieli fur zwei vierstimmige Blechblaser-Chore, die Johan de Meij geschickt im gesamten Ensemble als Echo erklingen lasst. Echoes of San Marco eignet sich bestens fur ein Konzert in einer Kirche oder in einem Konzertsaal mit einer guten Akustik!

Cette oeuvre, vainqueur de la 30e edition du Concours International de Composition a Corciano en Italie, est basee sur l'une des canzones pour deux choeurs de cuivres a quatre voix chacune de Giovanni Gabrieli. Johan de Meij reussit a transmettre les echos parfaitement a travers l'ensemble. Ideal pour un concert dans une eglise ou dans une salle avec une bonne acoustique !
