Arctic Challenge is inspired by the TV documentary North Pole Airport and has three movements: Barneo Base Camp, Into the Snow and Dance around the Earth & Finale. The composer takes the listener to Barneo—a drifting Russian research station that is established annually in April, about 100 kilometers from the North Pole, where there is almost constant daylight.
Arctic Challenge is ge nspireerd door de tv-documentaire North Pole Airport en bestaat uit drie delen: Barneo Base Camp, Into the Snow en Dance around the Earth. De componist neemt de luisteraar mee naar Barneo. Dit is een drijvend Russisch onderzoeksstation dat ieder jaar weer rond april wordt ingericht. Het bevindt zich ongeveer honderd kilometer van de Noordpool, een plaats waar vrijwel constant daglicht is. Avontuurlijk!
Arctic Challenge (Arktische Herausforderung“) wurde durch den Fernsehdokumentarfilm North Pole Airport inspiriert und besteht aus drei Sätzen: Barneo Base Camp, Into the Snow und Dance around the Earth. Der Komponist nimmt den Zuhörer mit nach Barneo eine russische Forschungs-station auf dem Treibeis, die jedes Jahr im April ungefähr 100 km vom Nordpol entfernt errichtet wird.
Arctic Challenge est inspiré du documentaire pour télévision « North Pole Airport » et contient trois mouvements : Barneo Base Camp, Into the Snow et Dance around the Earth. Le compositeur emmène l’auditeur Barneo une station de recherche russe en dérive qui est établie chaque année en avril environ cent kilomètres du Pôle Nord où la lumière du jour ne disparaît qu’ peine.
Arctic Challenge (Sfida artica) è ispirato dal documentario televisivo North Pole Airport e ha tre movimenti: Barneo Base Camp, Into the Snow and Dance around the Earth. Il compositore porta l’ascoltatore a Barneo, una stazione di ricerca russa che viene allestita annualmente in aprile a circa 100 chilometri dal Polo nord, dove è quasi sempre giorno.
