A new work for trumpet and piano in three movements, each with its own character. The Allegro Brillante is virtuosic in nature while the Andante Doloroso is more romantic and the final jazzy Allegro Giusto brings the work to an exciting close. This work is also available for trumpet and concert band.
Concerto Tricolore is een boeiend trompetconcert in drie delen. Elk deel heeft zijn eigen muzikale karakter. Het eerste deel (Allegro Brillante) is levendig en virtuoos, en in neoklassieke stijl gecomponeerd. Er volgteen Andante Doloroso voor bugel, met een zachte, romantische achtergrondbegeleiding. Daarna geeft een Allegro Giusto de jazzy sfeer van een oude rokerige jazzclub in Chicago weer. Het resultaat is een afwisselend enonderhoudend geheel.
