Scheherazade, Op. 35 was one of his famous orchestral symphonic suite, which was based on the well-known Arabic tale, One Thousand and One Nights. I have selected and arranged various famous melodies from the original 4 movements in the symphonic suite; The Sea and Sinbad’s Ship, The Kalandar Prince, The Young Prince and The Young Princess, and Festival at Baghdad. The instrumentation is kept to a minimum in order for smaller sized symphonic bands to be able to enjoy this masterpiece.
