The protagonist in 'Marionette' is beginning to realise that they were misled in their recently ended relationship. They are almost curiously fascinated with how easy it seemed for their lover to trick them and make them doubt themselves; that the relationship was toxic and that the lover was a master mind-game player.

Written in a quirky, jazz-waltz style, this movement has been written to allow the performer to express curiosity, humor, mental fascination, mixed in with a little anger. Set to a moody, dark, still, yet highly emotional melody and harmony. Singable, appealing, sort-of tonal with a contemporary edge; a quirky, humorous, controlled but relaxed performance piece for musical theatre/classical lovers.
