This piece allows the performer to choose their own ending to their relationship and allows the audience to embark on a journey into the performer's inner world.
This piece is in the form of a mini-suite. Each movement represents a state of a friendship, from getting to know someone, becoming closer and closer, to arguments, apologies, and both satisfactory and unsatisfactory conclusions.
Despite the detailed performance markings, this piece should be openly interpreted and suitably adapted to the performer's preferences because as much as this piece comes from the composer's mind, it is up to the performer to make it part of him/her as well. Using flexibility in tempo to emphasize emotional contrast and having fun is encouraged.
