This piano solo arrangement of the well-known hymn tune FORSAKEN by Thomas Koschat flows peacefully throughout with soothing harmonies. The idyllic setting creates visions of grassy hillsides where sheep quietly graze, always under the watchful eye of the Shepherd. The piece progresses through two verses of the song interspersed with complimentary interludes. This meditative, yet graceful arrangement is one of three in the collection "Psalm 23 Trilogy."

Performance Tip: For a more relaxed sound or to make it easier to play the 16th note runs (beginning in measure 23), play these runs slower than "at tempo," even as slow as 8th notes. This slowed pace sounds natural, is easier to play smoothly, and retains the calm, peaceful feeling.
