This triptych is based on various texts linked with Christ's Passion. Therefore they can be integrated in the holy week liturgy.
The modal / tonal colors and the gregorian-inspired parts illustrate and highlights the texts.
The antiphon of Ubi Caritas is sung for the washing of the feet office (maundy thursday). This text is all about love and charity of god.
Adoramus te is an antiphon of good friday, sung on the way of the cross.
At last, the Ave verum corpus prayer meditates on Christ's Passion and his real presence through the Eucharist.
