Until 1970, it was attributed to Johann Sebastian Bach (BWV Anh. 114), but it is now universally attributed to Christian Petzold.[1][2][3] It is a 32-measure piece primarily in the key of G major. Now in the 21st Century, the piece has been rearranged into 2 different keys Perfect 5th apart(G and C Major).
This arrangement is for Teacher/Student. The Students part is the melody being played in both G and C Major and the Teachers part is the left-hand in both keys. This is a good practice piece as it is easily identifiable and promotes ear-training as the student is hearing the melody in 2 different keys. Enjoy this classic masterpiece.
