"Solveig," meaning daughter of the sun, is the central character in the play Peer "Gynt" by Henrik Ibsen and she sings the famous "Solveig's Song" in Edvard Grieg's second Peer Gynt suite Opus 55 arranged by Ernest Guiraud.

Solveig's song is also used in the video game "The Witness"
