It is written for two choirs, one of 4 and one of 3 voices with all the polyphony and 'stereo effects' that would conjour in St Mark's Cathedral in Venice - or any large space. As always, this music transfers onto brass very well indeed. Baroque music like this is always redolent of Christmas, even if the music itself may have been written for other occasions.
A great addition to any programme.
