Le Nozze di Figaro continues to be one of Mozart's most famous operas. This recording, taken in 1953, was originally released by RCA, and was available to the public for many years. It has, however, been difficult to find in recent years, until this new release by Urania. Featuring the Wiener Philharmoniker and the Wiener Staatsoperchor, this masterful recording is conducted by the legendary Erich Leinsdorf.
