Coro di Crociati e Pellegrini from the Opera I Lombardi. Composed by Giuseppe Verdi. Arranged by Jos van de Braak. Baton Music vocal series. Coro di Crociati e Pellegrini from the Opera I Lombardi. Full score. Duration 4:00. Baton Music #BM603-SCORE. Published by Baton Music (BF.BM603-SCORE).'I Lombardi' (or I Lombardi alla Prima Crociata, The Lombards on the First Crusade) is an operatic lyric drama in four acts by Giuseppe Verdi to an Italian libretto by Temistocle Solera, based on an epic poem by Tommaso Grossi, which was 'very much a child of its age; 'a grand historical novel with a patriotic slant'. The 'Coro di Crociati e Pellegrini' (Chorus of the Crusaders and the Pilgrims) is sung in the 2nd scene of the fourth act: The crusaders and pilgrims are despairing that God has abandoned them in the desert: 'O signore, dal tetto natio' (O Lord, Thou dids't call us).
