Composed by 15th Century German Carol. Arranged by Sandy McIntire. Baroque,Christmas,Instructional,Sacred,Traditional. Score. 4 pages. Sandy McIntire #553065. Published by Sandy McIntire (A0.697410).

"Es ist ein Ros entsprungen" (literally "A rose has sprung up") is a Christmas carol and Marian hymn of German origin. It is most commonly translated in English as "Lo, how a rose e'er blooming" and is also called "A Spotless Rose" and "Behold a Rose of Judah". This beloved German Christmas Carol is arranged for as an early intermediate piano solo. The theme is simply stated then eloquently elaborated to provide a suitable piece for worship service, Christmas program or recital.
