Antonio Rosetti was born Franz Anton Roessler around 1750 in Litomence, a town in Northern Bohemia. He wrote a great deal of music, but is best known today for his horn concerti, which may have inspired Mozart's own; and for having composed the Requiem Mass (1776) which was performed at a memorial for Mozart in 1791. Rosetti died on June 30, 1792.
