Composed by David Warin Solomons. 20th Century,Contemporary. 8 pages. David Warin Solomons #2028373. Published by David Warin Solomons (A0.575810).

Setting of the poem by Hilaire Belloc about a little boy who kept chewing string and eventually died as a result. It is "black humour" the main point being near the end of the song where the doctors take their fees but say "there is no cure for this disease"! The setting uses an original tune with guitar chord names. The pdf file contains versions in various keys (C, D, F and G) so as to fit any vocal range. The sound sample is performed live by the composer. The music also appears as an instrumental duet for flute and guitar or clarinet and guitar under the title "The story of Henry King".
