Concert Aria KV 541. Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by Jos van de Braak. Baton Music vocal series. Concert Aria KV 541. Full Score and set of parts. Duration 2:30. Baton Music #BM066-SET. Published by Baton Music (BF.BM066-SET).The Aria 'Un bacio di mano' (A handkissing) was conceived in May 1788 in Vienna for the singer Francesco Albertarelli as part of the opera 'Le Geloise fortunate' from the Italian composer Pasquale Anfossi. In those days, Mozart lived in great poverty and had a bad health. Maybe that was the reason he had to compose music for some colleagues. The text of this aria is probably from Lorenzo da Ponte, the famous Viennese court poet.Mozart again used the main theme of this arietta (a short aria) in the first part of his Jupiter Symphony ( K.V. 551).
