When I was in junior high, I played Chopin's Mazurka in g minor, Op. 67, No. 2. I thought of doing another set of variations for this opus but I did not know what to create variations on until I thought of the piece.
Approximately takes 10 minutes to perform. The theme and the set of 11 variations cover the first third of the piece, except the 11th variation, which covers the whole piece and is a set of 3 canons. Gets increasingly difficult with its level of virtuosity. Perfect for classical pianists! .
