It was written in 1736 for 2 solo voices accompanied by strings and organ and it tells the story of Mary watching her son Jesus on the cross. This well crafted arrangement for Clarinet Quartet is suitable for recitals, religious services (especially Easter), funerals and other occasions where beautiful moving music is required.
