This publication is ideal for TV & Film based programmes, Halloween, and is very current with the recent Netflix Wednesday Addams series broadcast from November 2022.
The ghoulish Addams Family made their debut in the classic 1960s television show of the same name. The show was a macabre comedy about the close-knit Addams family and their butler Lurch. It was a great hit, having many reruns and sequels, including a 2019 animated film and the 2022 hit Netflix series ‘Wednesday’; a coming of age tale about the daughter of the original Addams family.
This is a really enjoyable arrangement for all four players. The 3 clarinets all get to do the finger-snaps and play in a close-harmony jazz style, and there is a newly written jazzy section for everyone in the middle. The arrangement gets quieter and quieter before ending on a truly scary final chord! This revised edition (October 2023) is a little longer and each player now gets a chance to play the tune. The rhythmically spoken words from the original theme tune ("Neat, Sweet, Petite") have also been added but are optional. Rehearsal marks and some courtesy accidentals have been added.
The YouTube video is the original 2021 version of the arrangement. It will be updated in due course.
