JS Bach has written many beautiful melodies. This is one of them.

However, as it was originally written for solo violin, due to the technical difficulties playing it, the melody is often not fully appreciated. Besides, due to the nature of the violin, the accompaniment may sound a little jerky when played on solo violin.

This arrangement allows the 1st Violin to fully express the beauty of the melody, with the support of the quartet.

It can be performed in a String Quartet. Also, music students may play together to appreciate the different parts of the music, and appreciate the genius of JS Bach in reducing it for 1 violin.
