In this full, uncut version of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons (all four concerti) the first violin has an unedited solo line and the rest of the parts have been edited to cover as much as possible of the ripieno role. This can be played as a string quintet or string quartet (the double bass is optional as it mostly doubles the cello part).

Vicky Berry is a long-serving violinist in the UK's renowned Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, as well as the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra Resonate Strings (a quintet formed to take music into schools and the community). She edited the Four Seasons so that Resonate Strings would be able to play the full version of the piece with the recognisable solo line and an accompaniment suitable for a smaller ensemble. Due to the difficulty of the solo line, this version is for professional or very good amateur players.
