Composed by Karl Josef Schmidt. 20th Century,Chamber,Contemporary,Jazz,Latin. 1 pages. Karl Schmidt #5321223. Published by Karl Schmidt (A0.927205).

This spirited piece for flute, soprano saxophone, bassoon, vibraphone and percussion will liven any program with its infectious rhythms, notable melodies, and mix of unusual instrumentation.  It all works!  Written so the percussion and vibraphone can be played by one very dexterous musician, On the Go! is easiest if performed by two percussionists. The world premier in San Francisco was in 1919 (see YoTube link) and the audio file has excerpts from that performance. An alto sax part in place of soprano saxophone is available from the composer.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
