Arizona is written in a typical three-part overture form. The composition is not strictly descriptive as such, but rather conveys moods and emotions, inspired by impressions of the American desert state of Arizona: the endless, cactus-studded desert landscape, a lone Indian on horseback, the legendary Grand Canyon Railroad, the Petrified Forest and the famous Monument Valley.
Arizona, geschreven in de kenmerkende driedelige vorm van een ouverture, is niet een louter beschrijvend werk. De componist heeft er stemmingen en emoties in gelegd. Hij werd daarbij ge nspireerd door de Amerikaanse staat Arizona: de eindeloze woestijnlandschappen met hier en daar wat cactussen, een eenzame indiaan te paard, de legendarische Grand Canyon Railway, het Petrified Forest en het natuurschoon van de Monument Valley komen allemaal aan bod.
Arizona ist in einer typisch dreiteiligen Ouvertürenform geschrieben. Die Komposition ist nicht streng deskriptiv, sondern vermittelt vielmehr Emotionen, inspiriert von Impressionen des amerikanischen Wüstenstaates Arizona: die endlose Wüstenei, ein einsamer Indianer zu Pferde, die Grand-Canyon-Eisenbahn, der Versteinerte Wald“ und das berühmte Monument Valley.
Écrite en trois parties, Arizona se présente sous la forme typique d’une ouverture. Des immenses paysages désertiques ponctués de cactus, un Amérindien cheval, le rugissement bien reconnaissable du chemin de fer du Grand Canyon, le paysage saisissant du parc de Petrified Forest, les formations colossales de Monument Valley sont les éléments qui se dessinent devant nous, suscitant des émotions profondes et provoquant une stupéfaction absolue.
Arizona è scritta nella tipica forma tripartita di ouverture. La composizione non è strettamente descrittiva, ma vuole piuttosto trasmettere stati d’animo. Franco Cesarini trae ispirazione dall’Arizona, stato meridionale degli Stati Uniti. L’infinito deserto costellato di cactus, un indiano solitario a cavallo, la leggendaria ferrovia del Grand Canyon, la “foresta pietrificata” e la famosa Monument Valley.
