De titel "Song For A New Generation" heeft natuurlijk betrekking op de milleniumwissel. In een steeds doorlopend 'tempo di bolero' wordt het thema voorgesteld dat symbool staat voor hoop. Verder in dit werk vertegenwoordigen enkelewervelende harmonische verschuivingen de onrusten en oorlogen die de mensheid de voorbije decennia teisterden. Op het einde komt het hoofdthema nog éénmaal terug in een majestueuze orkestratie met een knipoog naar het streven naarwereldvrede in 2000.

Le rythme (tempo di bolero), l’éclat des thèmes et les tournures harmoniques tumultueuses traduisent la fébrilité de l’attente, l’espoir d’un inconnu prometteur et la nécessité d’un dialogue entre les peuples pour un monde de paix. Une nouvelle génération est en marche.
