Although Daft Punk's multi-Grammy-winning album "Random Access Memories" might be their most commercially successful to date, their second album "Discovery" remains a cult classic, with a number of hit singles and club anthems still beloved to this day - including "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger." There have been several well-known remixes and covers of this song in different genres - most notably being used as a sample in Kanye West's song "Stronger" - but this arrangement for cello quartet is one of a kind! Replicating the original's funky techno beats, slowly-building melodic complexity, startling octave leaps, and layers of harmonies, this version fits the four cello parts together like interlocking puzzle pieces in a way rarely seen in string arrangements. Rated advanced for extreme rhythmic weirdness and some crazy high thumb position stuff (and beyond) in several of the parts.
