The two violins split the melody in the verses and play harmonies in the chorus. In the bridge the cello acts as the drum, with a strong staccato beat mirroring the lyrics, "Like a drum baby don't stop beating.". This version follows the audio recording by Phillip Phillips exactly, except that it is in a MUCH easier key. It has a rich texture but is still uncomplicated technically, with limited position changes and straightforward rhythms. Ideal for anyone who loves this song!
