Composed by Barbara Arens. 20th Century,Baroque,Contemporary. Score. 2 pages. Barbara Arens #3242989. Published by Barbara Arens (A0.763896).

I wrote this in January 2012 in memory of the greatest of all harpsichordists since Baroque times, Gustav Leonhardt, to whom I owe so much. The first part of the piece is in the style of J.Duphly, in rememberance of an unforgettable Master Course given by Herr Leonhardt (G.L.:"Duphly had the good taste to die in the year of the French Revolution"). In the 2nd half, the modern world, including Death, is represented - a world in which Herr Leonhardt preferred not to exist. Remembering the Tombeaux of Froberger, the piece ends in peace - in G Major.
