The first 16 bars have the familiar 12/8 feel. When the bridge come into play, it swings into a 4/4 easy swing tempo and then back to the 12/8 feel out of the bridge. After a improvised chorus and an ensemble section the piece goes out with a tenor cadenza right at the end. It's pretty much what you would expect for this tune.
