Composed by Robert Debbaut. 20th Century,Classical,Instructional,Standards. Score and part. 25 pages. ROBERT DEBBAUT #2891479. Published by ROBERT DEBBAUT (A0.939401).

An original composition written with the young violist in mind, Robert Debbaut's "Variations on a Theme of Mozart" are all playable in first position.  Mozart's January 1791 song cycle "Sehnsucht nach dem Fruehling," K 596 (Sensations of Spring), was composed in a particularly bleak Viennese winter.  "Komm, lieber Mai" (Come, dear May) was one of these three songs on poems by Christian Adolph Overbeck.  Mozart loved this tune so much he later added it to the finale of his last piano concerto, No. 27 in B-flat, K. 595.
