THE BEST OF PIETRO FROSINIS MUSIC 12 pieces, 53 pages.Pietro Frosini (whose real name was Pietro Giufreda) was born on 9/8 1885 in Catania, Sicily.Already at the age of six began Giufreda Jr. playing the accordion for his father. He show immediately such talent, that his father wanted to give him the best development opportunities. Therefore, he was, from the age of 10, in the music school. Noteworthy was that he did during his student was not allowed to play the accordion, but instead had to devote himself to play the cornet, piano and music theory. Playing cornet however, gave dividends. Age 17, he was engaged as 1st cornet in "British Naval Band" in Malta. Three years later, however, he fell ill in malignant malaria, and lost because of illness their ability to play the cornet. Another three years later he made a life-changing decision. He broke up from Malta and emigrated to the United States. There he began a new career, now in vaudeville-theater as virtuoso-accordionist Pietro Frosini. In the variety show, he soon become one of the American audience's favorite. But after the film's audio breakthrough changed the scenario again. The film took over quickly the varieties old audience. Frosini had never see himself unemployed. He received many offers from both radio as record companies, and it is mainly just radio and gramophone artist we remember him today. At his death on 29/9 1951, he left behind about 200 compositions.Undoubtedly Frosini stands out as one of the central figures of accordion music. His music played over practically the whole world. In "PIETRO FROSINIS BEST PART 1", we get his masterful ability to convey different moods exemplified; the softness of "Vision of Love", attacks in "La Mariposita", the joy of "Coquette Polka", the temperament of "Dizzy Accordion".Most accordionist will sooner or later get in contact with Frosinis music.
