Originally inspired by the antiphonal sounds of "O Filii et Filiae" by Volckmar Leisring and composed for horn octet, "Proclamation" explores more tone colors and layers in a new concert band arrangement. Travel through various time signatures in the opening fanfare, then switch moods as the woodwinds play a soft, lyrical section. The entire ensemble joins in for the dynamic finale. This would be a great concert opener for your ensemble. "Proclamation" was premiered by the Crystal Lake Community Band in May, 2016.
