For graduates of Level 5B, Level 6A has been voted the students' favorite book of the entire Mayron Cole Piano Method. Level 6A is 137 pages with 11comositions, ten or which are originals that have been written to keep your teenagers "going" with their piano studies. Most of the music follows "the great outdoors" theme, with compositions such as Daydreams, Forever River, Midnight on Boggy Creek, The Dragon Fly, and Brown Leaves. Compositions have corresponding theory sheets that include concepts such as building major, minor, augmented & diminished chords with major and minor thirds. Almost all of the compositions in this book have flat key signatures. The pieces progress from no flats up to four flats, so becoming proficient at playing "the flats" couldn't be easier. Level 5B also includes Mayron's Memory Helper Hands for Sharp and Flat Scales, The Primary Chord Detective, and The Circle of Fifths. Major and harmonic minor scales/cadences and a glossary are included at the beginning of the book.
