Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing was penned by 18th-century English pastor Robert Robinson in 1757, written to express the joy of his new found faith--a faith spawned by the preaching of Methodist evangelist George Whitefield. The text is most commonly known by its connection to the tune NETTLETON (composer unknown); this new setting seeks to pair the familiar hymn with a fresh and lilting tune, in keeping with the freshness of Robinson's faith in its creation.
