Composed by Traditional. Arranged by Fiona Coulter. Classical,Contemporary,Folk,World. Score. 3 pages. Fiona Coulter #36099. Published by Fiona Coulter (A0.912295).

This melody is a folk song from Somerset, recorded by Cecil Sharp, the famous collector of folk music. The story tells of a young lad who bids good-bye to his sweetheart and joins the Royal Navy. When he returns to England, he finds that she has married someone else, which he bitterly laments. This arrangement for piano solo is intended to be playable without difficulty by an intermediate standard player. The emphasis is on expression rather than technical difficulty.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
