Composed by WAGSTAFF, Julian. 21st Century,Romantic Period,Post-Modern,Repertoire,European. Score. 29 pages. Published by Europa Edition Ltd (S0.30159).

This ten-minute long atmospheric piece for strings was inspired by the awesome Soviet war memorial in Treptow Park in east Berlin. This volume contains both the version for string quartet and the version for string orchestra. Treptow is among the most-performed works by Scottish composer Julian Wagstaff. The first performance was given on 29 April 2005, conducted by James Lowe. The haunting grandeur of this piece embodies the composer's attempt to grapple with the elusive power of the Treptow monument in music.
