Opulence is the third piece from Sam Johnson's Big Band Suite 'Chronosuite'. The suite incorporates scenes of nature and human life captured within a 24 hour cycle. Steering slightly away from this theme, 'Opulence' is a minor jazz waltz create to evoke scenes of the aristocracy and high society, particularly that of the Georgian era. The piece then segues into a tango before returning to the original feel. The piece is for 16-piece ensemble with Tenor 1 doubling on Soprano. Improvised Solos are included for Alto I and Kit as well as a written solo for Soprano Sax. This sheet music set includes a full score, as well as a full set of parts.
