But there were so few options that I decided to do my own collection. I have a great respect and love for folk song melodies. They evoke such a longing to return to a simpler and more faith-filled way of life. I think of innocent times and happy hours exploring in nature, thinking of God’s grandeur and majesty, and also of adventures, true love, and mischievous but unmaliced play. I hope you enjoy playing through these pieces and that they will recall to your mind the memories of great ancestors and heroes, tales of faithful love, and the desire to become something better.
