(Level IV) A warm ballad featuring a lead alto saxophonist. A double-time feel tutti section features a mellow texture of flugelhorns and trombones (in the stand). The composition concludes with a lead alto open blowing vamp with a brief restatement of the theme. The composition was premiered at the New England Conservatory of Music, Jordan Hall (NEC faculty recital). The professional ensemble featured musicians that were alumni of The Woody Herman, Jimmy and Tommy Dorsey and Artie Shaw Big Bands. 8 Brass.
