In a time when ethnic music, especially Celtic-flavored, is so in vogue, this is a great concert selection encompassing several well-known Irish tunes. Expertly scored by Thomas Knox, longtime chief arranger/composer for the United States Marine Band, this is a surefire winner, with great contrasts between ensemble and transparent scoring, a few solo exposures and tasteful key changes. Great concert material.
