As a string quartet, the Spring Quartet received some unusual requests for perfomances at, mainly, weddings. On one particular occasion many of the guests were music graduates and/or members of choral societies. The Bride requested that we play Zadok the Priest during the Wedding Breakfast. I duly arranged the whole piece for performance by our quartet. While we played, we could hear many voices softly joining in! It's one of those sorts of piece and I think this may be one of the few (if any) purely instrumental versions of this work. I've added an optional bass part if you want to play it with a string orchestra.
