If I had written the lyrics, I would have made a few changes in verse one only, which I think are more befitting for a new Christian; they would go like this: Why me, Lord? What have I ever done to deserve even one of the blessings I've known? Tell me, Lord, what did I ever do that was worthy of You, or the kindness You've shown?
Being that he holds the copyright, I've used his lyrics in the sheet music.
