By Cathedral Schola, Kansas City, MO. By William Billings. Arranged by Mario Pearson. 20th Century,A Cappella,Christian,Classical,Contest,Festival. Octavo. 5 pages. Empee music #797845. Published by empee music (A0.1198763).

This piece was arranged for SATBB unaccompanied choir inspired by the tragic war in Ukraine.  It is dedicated to all victims of violence, war, and hate.  Ethereal in harmonic structure, with the alto section of the choir in the lower range introducing the familiar Billings melody "When Jesus Wept." The piece rises to a crescendo, with the soprano echoing the text in a higher range, sounding like wailing.
